How Long Does a Medical Billing Course Take to Complete?

The average length of a medical billing course program is four to six weeks.  How much time you have to dedicate to your course will determine this.  A medical billing program typically lasts between 50 and 60 hours in total.

An extensive range of topics pertaining to the daily activities of a medical biller must be included in our program.  Instruction on how to use the Practice Management / Medical Billing Software Program—the Tool of the Trade must also be included.

Our medical billing course programs give students the opportunity to use a live, fully functional practice management and medical billing software program to put what they have learned into practice.

By using their knowledge to enter patient, doctor, insurance, diagnostic, and procedure data, the students are able to recall what they have studied.  They also learn about the process of checking and submitting claims.

The student's personal instructor receives the information they input, gather, and turn in from the DAQ billing Practice Management / Medical Billing Software Program for grading.

Not only do our students really benefit from this kind of instruction, but they also adore it!

Here is a screenshot of a DAQ billing Encounter from the course that the student can use to fill out when creating a claim or encounter: it asks for the patient's insurance information, diagnosis information, and procedure/charge information.
